The iconic Vernelle’s Motel is located on the original Historic Route 66 in Phelps County Missouri for those who share the love and history of the Mother Road.
Vernelle’s Route 66 RV Park
Beginning with 12 FHU laser-level sites, featuring six 45′ x 80′ pull-through and six 45′ x 60′ back-in sites.
Plans are to add laundry facilities, full bath/showers, and additional FHU sites
Although the RV park isn’t fully operational yet, we do have limited spots with 50/30/20 and water available.
We also have dry camping spots available for Harvest Hosts members.
Work in Progress
The 50/30/20 electric pedestals and frost-free water hydrants are all connected and up and running at each site now. Sewer lines are currently being installed.

The hosts were there to greet us and happy to share the history of the hotel. Parking was level and it was an easy stop from the highway. We would stay again and look forward to seeing their progress in renovations and building the new RV spaces.

Perfect Spot
Vernelle’s Route 66 was a quiet and peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing stay. The hosts were wonderful – welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about Route 66, which made our experience even more memorable. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Peaceful…+history
Just off the 44 into the quietest area…warmly greeted to the historical motel on old RT 66 which is being renovated = halfway through adding a dozen RV spaces! Actually parked overnight on the Old66 with the only sounds being the breeze & the frogs…&fabulous starry sky! Highly recommend!
